A Roman Catholic Community of faith serving the Lord in word and deed

Parish Life - Community - Madalene Gardeners

Madalene Gardeners is a group of parishioners who take care of the flower beds and grounds at the Church of the Madalene.

We meet once or twice a week for an hour or so to plant, water, weed and trim. Most of our activity is in the Spring, Summer and early Fall. During the growing season (May through September) several members meet on Tuesday mornings after 8:00 Mass, to do what needs to be done each week.

A couple of times a year we spend a little extra time preparing and planting the beds and pots for the next season. We are currently making plans to remodel the beds on the south side of the church near the sign. You may have noticed some changes in that area already. We can use help in all areas and any amount of time you would like to contribute. You can be a regular or, if you prefer, be on call for those occasional bigger jobs that need more hands.

Green Thumbs are not required!

Spring Clean up and Planting days are scheduled annually.
